Sir Keith Park
About Me: My name is Keith Park but you can call me Skipper like my family does.I was born June 15, 1892 in Thames, New Zealand. I was in the cadets at school and later joined the army.I distinguished myself in trench warfare and became a second lieutenant. I made an odd decision and transfered to the British Army.At the Battle of Somme I learned the importance of aerial warfare. After being blown off my horse and deemed unfit for for active service I joined the Royal Flying Corps in 1916.I flew in both world wars and was an air vice marshal during the second one.I later retired and was promoted to air chief marshal.By the end of my career i had a Military Cross, Distinguished Flying Cross and the Croix de Gurre. My final numbers were 5 planes destroyed and 14 "out of control".
