Oklahoma enter the country on Novemeber 16, 1907.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Oklahoma football is a great tridition in this state.

 

LOCATION:

Absolute Location -  35.467N, 97.513W

Relative Location - Arkansas , Colorado, Kansas, Missiuo, New Mexico, &&Texas.

Capital-Oklahoma City.

Major Cities;

Lawton-is located in Southwest Oklahoma,August 6, 1901.  The Comanche-Apache lived in oklahoma.About 29,000 "wannabe" homesteaders from all over the United States journeyed into the southwest Oklahoma Territory to register at Fort Sill during the 16 days registration was open.

Tulsa- The earliest settlers of the area date back to the Ozark Bluff Dwellers. They lived in the northeast part of Oklahoma, otherwise know as Green Country.

The "Five Civilized Tribes," Cherokees, Choctaws, Chickasaws, Creeks and Seminoles, all came to the area. They brought with them their ideas of trading and commerce, ideas that would influence and shape the Tulsa area as well as the state of Oklahoma.

Norman-The City of Norman has agreed to preserve the Santa Fe Depot as a historical landmark and use the building in a manner as to benefit the entire community.Norman was primarily developed around the Santa Fe Railroad

It's one of only 4 states with more than 10 distinct ecosystems that range from pine-covered rolling mountains and cypress swamps in the southeast to tall grass prairies and high plains mesas in the northwest.

The earliest settlers of the area date back to the Ozark Bluff Dwellers. They lived in the northeast part of Oklahoma, otherwise know as Green Country. The Lochapokas, a band of Creek Indians, carried burning embers from their council fire in Alabama.
