Italy is country that is surounded by many things. It has the Alps that form towering mountains in northern Italy. It is also surrounded by many known places such as Greece,Switzerland, and France. There is also three seas that surround Italy which is the Medditeranean sea, the Adriatic sea, and the Ionian sea.

Italy on a map looks like a boot. Its weather is mostly hot summers and the winters are mild. Some of the most common tourist places in Italy is Rome,venice,Sicily,Turin , and Milan.Rome is also known for its history and art. Venice is also a great place for gandalier rides and food.

Italy's rich history and scenic beauty,together with the warm friendliness of its people attract more tourists every year than any other European country. Italy's favorite sport is soccer.And they have really great food which attracts lots of tourists. They eat theyre food during midday and it usually consists of a pasta course followed by a main course of meat or fish.

To get to Italy the easiest way to get there is by plane although you could get there by boat across the Alantic Ocean. The easiest way to get around is by car although if you go to Venice the only way to get around is by boat. The main language is Italian although there are some small percentages of German,French,and Slovens.

Compare and Contrast
Something different from Italy that other countries dont have is that Italy has an pinisula. Also some things that other countries would feel at home with is that they have the same types of foods in Italy that are popular in the U.S such as pizza and spaghetti.Some things that people would notice is the leaning tower of Pisa and the Colosseum in down town rome.
