Heinz Guderian
I was born in Kulm, Poland and went to countless military schools before entring the army in 1907. During the first World War I served as a Signals and General Staff officer, but did not get along with my superiors so was transfered to the intel department. After the war I stayed in the army and was promoted to Major and in charge of motorised tactics. By 1933 I was a colonel, and working on compleating many papers on motorised warfare. I was the first man to put all the aspects of the ideas of fast motorized warfare of other countries into the effective Blitzkrieg.I lost my position in the amry when i disagreed with Hitler and lost all of my authority in 1941, but got it back in 1944 after the failure of my successors. I again argued with Hitler and was let go for the last time because on May 10th I was captured by the Americans, but not convicted with any war crimes.(yea).
I personally led many armored attacks in many places. On the French front I led the attack on the French lines along the Meuse River at Sedan very quickly using my new motor theory of lightning warfare-Blitzkrieg which was very successful and earned me the nickname of Schneller Heinz from my soilders which ment Hurry-up Heinz becasue I was always trying to press froward. In 1941 I started my attack on the Soviet Union and was almost to Moscow when I was told to move toward Keiv and ran out of fuel and antifreeze and soon overtaken by air cooled diesel engines tanks from Moscow. This is when one of my runins with Hitler happened and my career never again came to the level of success that I had at the beginning of the war.

well MAYBE if you were able to actually win agianst the soviets, you would have room to talk about me winning the war!!!!
and i think Pearl Harbor was a pretty BIG distraction, just sayin'
