Location
Brazil covers nearly half of South America and is the continent's largest nation. It extends 2,965 mi (4,772 km) north-south, 2,691 mi (4,331 km) east-west, and borders every nation on the continent except Chile and Ecuador. Brazil is divided into the Brazilian Highlands in the south and the Amazon River Basin in the north.

Physical Geography
The physical geography of Brazil offers the tourist everything from beaches to rivers to forests to mountains.

Rio de Janeiro
Rio de Janeiro is a city with majestic beauty. It is one of the most densely populated places on earth. The city has built up areas snuggled up between a splendid bay and immaculate world famous beaches on one side and on the other side, an swiftly risen mountain range, roofed by a lavish tropical forest. Rio's culture and life is varied and diverse. The inhabitants are called Carioca, who all time thrive on dancing, drinking, strolling at beaches, and sporting under sun. Rio is full of tourist attractions. There is a good collection of museums that houses the whole lot of ancient objects and Brazilian artifacts dating to the 20th-century, charming long-standing neighbourhoods, striking parks and gardens, and remarkable mountain views in the city.

Brasília
Brasília, the capital of Brazil, is one of the world's most ruthless and planned cities. It officially became the capital in 1960. Brazilian architect Oscar Niemeyer designed the major official buildings. He also designed the famous world heritage site. Architect and urban planner Lucio Costa and landscape architect Roberto Burle Marx, planned the whole layout and also selected the green plant varieties for a green backdrop in the city. The city of Brasilia, which was otherwise dry, yellow and barren, was changed in the time span of just three years, from 1957to 1960.

São Paulo is South America's largest city and an intimidating place. Sáo Paulo's industrial growth and cultural variety has given birth to Brazil's chief, well-cultured and educated people. The people of are famous for their liveliness and well-informed personalities. Tourists can enjoy the exciting nightlife, this one of the world's most vibrant places.

Human Geography
Brazilians are warm, fun loving, and free spirited. They're also outgoing and enjoy being around others. At the same time, they are hard working. They're proud of the Portuguese heritage that sets them apart from other Latin American peoples. Brazilians are fashionable and like to dress according to the latest styles. People in urban areas like to wear European fashions, particularly Italian. People in warmer and humid regions dress more casually and colors are lighter and brighter year-round.The national sport and passion is soccer. Basketball and volleyball are also popular.
Most Brazilians are of mixed European, African, and Indian ancestry, and although many people have come from Japan, the Middle East, and Europe, especially Portugal. People of mixed racial ancestry, called mestizos, are found in the small towns and rural areas of the interior, although in recent decades, thousands have migrated to the cities in search of work and a better way of life. A small number of Indians still live in remote areas of the tropical rain forest.

Movement
A tourist can get into brazil by taking a plane and driving.
In Brazil, unless you know your way around, its recommended taking a taxi. Its pretty cheap compared to the US. A taxi from the airport to your hotel or apartment along the beach is about a 25-35 minute drive and will cost about $35.00.(70 Reals) After that however, most places in Brazil area are pretty close and you won't have to pay more then $10.00 per trip if you are going a long way.
The people of Brazil communicate by telephone, radio, and the internet. There are 38.81 million main phone lines in use as of 2002. 46,373,300 mobile cellular. There are 14.3 million internet users in Brazil as of 2002 also.
Most Brazilian newspapers have regional circulation (usually within State borders). Some newspapers are distributed throughout the country. These newspapers coverage of politics, economy and international issues that make them a source of information for everyone in Brazil.
The four major newspapers are O Globo, Jornal do Brasil, O Estado de Sao Paulo and Folha de Sao Paulo.

Why should someone choose to visit your country over another. What makes it different than other tourist destinations? What is it about your country that makes it unique? If people come to your country, what will they find that will be familiar to them? Many people like to go on vacation to get away, but that does not mean that everything should be foreign! Tell tourist what they can expect to find that will comfort them like home does.
