Barren Bicycles
Austin Boney
Business Plan:
Goal: To offer the Temple/Belton area a bicycle shop with low prices, lots of inventory, and professional knowledgable staff on hand at all times.
Mission: To put Sun Country Bicycles in Temple out of business, and collect all bicycle sales in Temple/Belton area. Eventually gain sufficient income
to move to a new store (larger location)
Hook:
The competitor bike store in the area (Sun Country Bicycles(two locations:temple, killeen)) Has very low in-store inventory, 2 out of 3 staff members are
not competent in working on bikes nor selling them. At Barren, I plan to have a business partner who has opened his own shop in New Mexico, and is a cat 3 racer, thus
very knowledgeable in the area of managing a bike store, working on bikes, a very good salesmen and racer with years of experience. I also plan to hire on one member
from the Sun Country staff, the member that keeps the store going. If all goes to plan we should be far superior.
Advertising Plan:
Quick in and out repairs. Everything you need will be in stock.
Financial Plan:
If we can manage to keep our head above water at Barren for the first year, and establish a solid customer base, we should
become the new central texas bike shop.

Monthly Profit or Loss
The items you sell are not free. You must deduct the cost of buying them from the manufacturer. Or if you make the items you are selling you must deduct the cost of the raw materials. If you are reselling items, subtract 60% from your monthly sales to determine your profit. If you make the items you sell, subtract 30% from your monthly sales to find your monthly profit. _____________ .
Now subtract your Monthly Expenses ______________. This is your total monthly profit (or loss).
