ALABAMA

 

Alabama was founded in about 1819 on the 14th of december makeing this state the 22nd state to join the u.s. the name, Alabama, is reportedly derivedfrom the Choctow word Alibamu,  meaning  "I clear the thicket"

Absolute Location - Alabama's borders are about 90 degrees west and 23.5 degrees north

 

Relative Location - Tennessee, Georgia, Florida, Mississippi, and North Carolina is the surrounding states the major landforms in the state of Alabama is The gulf of Mexico, The Appalachian Mountians, Costal plains, Tennessee river, and Mobile River. Some major cities in Alabama are  Mobile, Montgomery the capitial, Birmmingham the largest city by population, Hoover, and Tuscaloosa
